I am working as the "student assistant to Commissioner Douglas" on a few exciting projects including the siting of large scale solar-thermal plants in the desert regions of California (think conservation vs. renewable energy development, the CEC, the CA Dept. of Fish and Game, and the BLM) and the creation of sustainability criteria for low carbon fuel sources. I may get my hands into some other projects before the end, but that is yet to be determined.</p> <p> After a handful of months in Sacramento, I'll be heading to Spain (possibly Madrid, Zaragoza or Leon) to begin a year-long masters program as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. He will be going back to Spain to work in an Environmental company on projects in the United States.
